Samen met Jesse van Tetterode en Digna Kosse is Leonne Cuppen gevraagd om projectleider te zijn voor het Cultuur en Broedplaatsen beleid gemeente Terneuzen. Het is wijs om te investeren in een vestigingsklimaat voor kunstenaars en creatieve ondernemers. Zij kunnen bijdragen aan de belevingswaarde, innovatie, maatschappelijke en economische waarde van de stad. In oktober 2024 vond de pre opening van de Broedplaats Nesse plaats, Nesse is gericht op productie, ontwikkeling en presentatie voor hedendaagse kunst en ontwerp gevestigd in de voormalige Philips fabriek in Terneuzen. In gezamenlijkheid wordt er gewerkt aan het regenereren van ons ecosysteem, leef- en werksysteem vanuit de
onderling verbonden thema’s water, voedsel en energie.

It is wise to invest in an environment that attracts artists and creative entrepreneurs. They can contribute to the city's experience value, innovation, and both societal and economic growth. In October 2024, the pre-opening of Broedplaats Nesse took place. Nesse focuses on production, development, and presentation of contemporary art and design and is located in the former Philips factory in Terneuzen. Efforts are being made to regenerate our ecosystem, as well as our living and working systems, based on the interconnected themes of water, food, and energy. In 2025 I will focus on residency programs, connections with education and industry, and developments in the city center. The creative workspace policy is part of the Regio Deal Zeeuws-Vlaanderen.

Design to Market heeft Leonne Cuppen gevraagd om als Design Partner een coachende rol te spelen in halfjaarlijkse meetings en adviesgesprekken met talenten. Zij coachte Noud Sleumer, Joris Wintgens en Bram de Vos. Daarnaast was Leonne ook betrokken bij het aandragen en selecteren van de 12 ontwerpers editie 2023-2024.
Een uniek talentontwikkelingsprogramma voor een selecte groep jonge ontwerpers. Design to Market wordt aangeboden door de
provincie Noord-Brabant in samenwerking met negen belangrijke designinstellingen.
De geselecteerde talenten krijgen een jaar lang kosteloos begeleiding bij hun zakelijke en vakinhoudelijke ontwikkeling. Door middel van training, coaching en matching met opdrachtgevers werken we onder andere aan een duidelijke positionering en een betere bedrijfsvoering. Daarbij staat hun eigen ontwikkelvraag centraal.

Brightlands Chemelot Campus | curator & exhibition design
In samenwerking met Brightlands heeft Yksi Connect de expositie 'Voor mens en milieu, op naar een duurzame chemie en gezonde wereld voor iedereen' samengesteld.
Brightlands Chemelot Campus, een van de vier innovatiecampussen in Limburg, omvat meer dan honderd bedrijven, instituten en instellingen voor onderwijs en onderzoek. Samen vormen deze organisaties met in totaal ruim drieduizend kenniswerkers en duizend studenten een krachtig ecosysteem dat zich richt op (het opschalen van) innovaties voor een duurzame chemie, circulaire materialen en biomedische oplossingen. Voor mens en milieu dus: schoon, sociaal, gezond en veilig, met aandacht voor zowel welvaart als welzijn.
Deze expositie bevat displays over de innovaties van al deze onderzoekers, ontwerpers en jonge talenten op de paar bijzondere vierkante kilometers die Brightlands Chemelot Campus rijk is. Ze wordt aangevuld met werk van enkele jonge, onafhankelijke ontwerpers ter inspiratie. Hier ligt immers de toekomst: samenwerking en integratie in de hele waardeketen.
In collaboration with Brightlands, Yksi Connect has put together the exhibition 'For people and the environment, towards a sustainable chemistry and healthy world for all'.
Brightlands Chemelot Campus, one of the four innovation campuses in Limburg, comprises more than a hundred companies, institutes and institutions for education and research. Together, these organisations with a total of over three thousand knowledge workers and a thousand students form a powerful ecosystem that focuses on (scaling up) innovations for sustainable chemistry, circular materials and biomedical solutions. In other words, for people and the environment: clean, social, healthy and safe, focusing on both prosperity and well-being.
This exhibition contains displays of the innovations of all these researchers, designers and young talents on the few special square kilometres of Brightlands Chemelot Campus. It is complemented by work by some young, independent designers for inspiration. After all, this is where the future lies: collaboration and integration throughout the value chain.

Samen vormen deze organisaties met in totaal ruim drieduizend kenniswerkers en duizend studenten een krachtig ecosysteem dat zich richt op (het opschalen van) innovaties voor een duurzame chemie, circulaire materialen en biomedische oplossingen. Voor mens en milieu dus: schoon, sociaal, gezond en veilig, met aandacht voor zowel welvaart als welzijn.
Deze expositie bevat displays over de innovaties van al deze onderzoekers, ontwerpers en jonge talenten op de paar bijzondere vierkante kilometers die Brightlands Chemelot Campus rijk is. Ze wordt aangevuld met werk van enkele jonge, onafhankelijke ontwerpers ter inspiratie. Hier ligt immers de toekomst: samenwerking en integratie in de hele waardeketen.
In collaboration with Brightlands, Yksi Connect has put together the exhibition 'For people and the environment, towards a sustainable chemistry and healthy world for all'.
Brightlands Chemelot Campus, one of the four innovation campuses in Limburg, comprises more than a hundred companies, institutes and institutions for education and research. Together, these organisations with a total of over three thousand knowledge workers and a thousand students form a powerful ecosystem that focuses on (scaling up) innovations for sustainable chemistry, circular materials and biomedical solutions. In other words, for people and the environment: clean, social, healthy and safe, focusing on both prosperity and well-being.
This exhibition contains displays of the innovations of all these researchers, designers and young talents on the few special square kilometres of Brightlands Chemelot Campus. It is complemented by work by some young, independent designers for inspiration. After all, this is where the future lies: collaboration and integration throughout the value chain.

Het Nationaal Museum van Wereldculturen ontwikkeld momenteel de tentoonstelling Plastic Crush een onderzoeks- en ontwerpproces met een deel opdracht waarin 4 jonge ontwerptalenten zich laten inspireren door objecten uit het depot van het museum.
Ze spelen in op het oude werk en zorgen voor een eigentijdse vertaling met vernieuwende, duurzame en circulaire ideeën. De geselecteerde ontwerpers zijn Jie Chen, Daria Biryukova, Lena Winterink en Gundega Strauberga.
Plastic Crush vindt plaats in het Tropenmuseum in Amsterdam van oktober 2022 t/m april 2024, en was te zien tijdens de Dutch Design Week Eindhoven in oktober 2022. Naast het begeleiden van de talenten introduceert Leonne Cuppen een selectie van ontwerpers die zullen worden opgenomen in de tentoonstelling. Ook Shahar Livne heeft een opdracht gekregen speciaal werk te ontwikkelen voor deze expositie.

4-daagse reis naar Portugal om verschillende locaties te onderzoeken voor een nieuw duurzaam resort ingebed in de natuur en in de lokale gemeenschap. Initiatiefnemers Xander Bueno de Mesquita en Marlon Huysmans organiseerden deze inspirerende reis met Nederlandse en Portugese experts. Hopelijk kunnen we designers inzetten als belangrijke schakel om dit bijzondere project nog meer inhoud te geven.
De komende maanden wordt de opgehaalde content verwerkt en kan er een keuze gemaakt worden welk landgoed het meest geschikt is om regeneratief door te ontwikkelen.
Deelnemende experts waren Boris Zeisser, Marc Jongerius, Eva Gladek, Ruud Hopstaken, Meiny Prins, Jan Westra, Rob van Hattum en Loes Wormmeester.

Kunststoffen (plastics in het Engels) hebben ons veel gebracht en kennen veel nuttige toepassingen. Maar steeds meer beseffen we dat ze ook schade doen aan het milieu en de leefomgeving. Het onderwerp plastics staat momenteel volop in de belangstelling, maar is ook complex. Veel complexer dan menigeen beseft. Tegelijkertijd is er veel begrip, energie en goodwill om de problematiek op een praktische manier aan te pakken.
Yksi Expo in Eindhoven werd van september 2020 - december 2022 omgebouwd naar Rethinking Plastic. Deze periode waren er exposities en presentaties te zien rond het thema plastic. Met daarnaast workshops, lezingen en andere activiteiten en bijeenkomsten. Ook werden onderwijs instellingen en organisaties bij het initiatief betrokken.
Plastics have brought us a lot and have many useful applications. But we are increasingly aware that they also do damage to the environment and the living environment. The subject of plastics is currently in the spotlight, but is also complex. Much more complex than many people realise. At the same time, there is a lot of understanding, energy and goodwill to tackle the issue in a practical way.
